Technical Services Manager Durban Kwa Zulu Natal
Our Manufacturing client in Durban is looking for a Technical Service Manager with 5 years’ experience in Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in the polymer/composites industry. Technical Department requires a professional who can deliver technical leadership, customer support, product development, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will lead technical projects, optimize formulations, provide support to customers and commercial teams, and drive innovation in alignment with company objectives.
Salary very negotiable
Min Qualifications
- BSc Chemistry (or equivalent relevant qualification)
- Experience with Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in the polymer/composites industry
- Manufacturing and Health and Safey Experience
- Creative innovation and sustainable Green Technology practices
Responsibilities
- Oversee, develop and direct the Technical Services team
- Spearhead research and development initiatives for new and existing products
- Refine formulations to enhance quality and minimize costs
- Oversee technical projects throughout all stages from conception to rollout
- Deliver technical assistance and problem resolution for customers and branch locations
- Evaluate product complaints and execute corrective action plans
- Provide technical instruction to customers, sales personnel and organizational staff
- Update and preserve technical records and formulation specifications
- Coach and develop technical team members
- Collaborate with suppliers, licensors and strategic partners to identify emerging technologies
- Champion ongoing enhancement, creative innovation and sustainable Green Technology practices
