Finance Manager Woodstock Cape Town
Are you ready as an Accountant to take on a Finance Manager role? Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to ensure reliable, accurate and timely financial and management information. Oversee all finance, 2 staff members, small payroll, imports/ shipping from overseas factories. Accounting on SAGE, working on Excel and SAGE payroll.

Min Requirements
- Financial/Finance/Accounting Degree
- 3 years finance experience as an Accountant, Senior Bookkeeper or Finance Manager
- SAGE Accounting experience
- Shipping / Imports experience an added bonus
- Clearing and Forwarding experience an added bonus
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and controls
- Accounting - Ensure all sales / deliveries are accurately recorded.
- Ensure timely receipts from debtors and active chasing of overdue.
- Ensure Supplier’s invoices validated, approved and accurately recorded.
- Ensure monthly review of General Ledger, Trial Balance, Debtors Ageing, Creditors Ageing and Inventories reports.
- Assist with Financial statements and year end statutory audits
- Preparation and timely submission of Quarterly Consolidation packs
- Treasury - Maximize payments
- Minimize retention for VAT and Clearing Charges.
- Ensure adequate cash-maintained Office Expenses
- Ensure you approve petty cash payment and review petty cash reconciliations
- Manage Shipping, documentation, cost and dealing with clearing and forwarding agents
- Inventories and stock - Ensure all quantities received and delivered are properly recorded and reconciled to packing lists/ bills of entry and invoiced to customers once delivered.
- Ensure Stocks are properly valued at lower of costs or net realizable value.
- Budgetary Process and Control
- Tax, Legal and Secretarial Matters
- Human Resources – Hr administration, HR payroll (10 staff) and HR contract to staff when needed
