Accounts Payable Controller - Lotus HR and Recruitment

Our client, an international financial services company, seeks to employ an experienced Accounts Payable Controller to join their progressive and expanding finance team based in Claremont, Cape Town.
 
Please note that this role does require experience in foreign currency transactions; therefore, experience with foreign currency conversions and international payments is essential.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field, although candidates with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
• You must have a minimum of 3 years' proven experience in an Accounts Payable or General Accounting role within a fast-paced environment.
• A proven track record in managing the full accounts payable function, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, payment runs and bank reconciliations is essential.
• Displayed expertise in foreign currency transactions, international payments and foreign exchange processes is essential.
• Solid working experience in Microsoft Excel and MS Office is required, with previous exposure to online banking platforms and expense management systems such as Concur being advantageous.
• You must possess excellent numerical accuracy, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting strict deadlines.
• You must be able to work independently, maintain accurate financial records and build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• You must have a valid driver's licence, own reliable transport and a clear criminal and credit record.
