Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Junior Short-Term Insurance Underwriter to join their growing team in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth

- Process renewals, policy amendments and quotations for existing clients.
- Work closely with the underwriting team to provide efficient underwriting support.
- Perform a variety of underwriting administration and support functions.
- Ensure accurate processing of policy documentation and client records.
- Maintain a high level of customer service while managing client queries.
- Liaise with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely turnaround of requests.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company procedures and insurer requirements.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant Short-Term Insurance qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar underwriting role (non-negotiable).
- Experience working on insurer online platforms and underwriting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Systematic with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
