An established construction company delivering major commercial building projects in Madagascar is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in a fully remote capacity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who can manage project costs, contractual matters, procurement, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with site teams and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
- Manage project costs from inception through to final account.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate appointments.
- Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payment claims.
- Identify and manage variations, claims and contractual risks.
- Monitor project expenditure against budget.
- Liaise remotely with project managers, site teams and consultants.
- Ensure commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- 5+ years' experience on commercial building projects.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC and/or JBCC contracts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
- Stable internet connection and suitable home office environment.
- Ability to work independently while supporting international project teams.
