Our client is looking for an Packaging Machine Technician to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual with experience in servicing and repairing carton erecting machines. The role involves travelling to various customer sites to perform maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs. A company vehicle will be provided for business travel.

- Matric (Grade 12)
- 3–5 years' technical and/or agricultural experience in servicing and repairing machinery
- Experience working with different types of erecting machines
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with excellent attention to detail
- Valid Code 8 driver's licence
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers at all levels
- Self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, and a strong team player
- Willingness to work after hours, overtime, and weekends when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on company and customer erecting machines across various customer sites
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on erecting machines
- Respond to customer call-outs and conduct packhouse visits as required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards
- Represent the company professionally while delivering high-quality technical support and customer service
