Our client in the automotive industry based in Kariega/Uitenhage is looking to employ a Temp Project Engineer for 6 - 8 months

Duties:

Plan and implement logistics projects, production requests, and improvement initiatives
Design and implement logistics facilities (racking, packaging, storage, trolleys, pallets, etc.)
Develop production and warehouse layouts using CAD systems
Coordinate project meetings and liaise with stakeholders across departments
Develop and optimise packaging specifications to reduce cost and prevent damage
Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and operational standards

Minimum requirements:

National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering / Logistics /Project or Operations Management

Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics processes within an automotive manufacturing environment
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in Logistics Planning or similar
Minimum 2 years’ Project Management experience
Experience with CAD systems, Power BI, Simulation Programs
Experience working with external contractors on facility development/modifications
